Coach James was born in New Jersey but moved around during his childhood to Michigan and Ohio, before he landed in Baton Rouge.  He is a former C.G.'s competitive gymnast and graduated from Episcopal High School.  He then began coaching and worked his way through school, graduating from Southeastern Louisiana University.  Coach James teaches Tumbling, Recreational Gymnastics, and our Boys' Competitive Team.

   In 2013 he and Christy purchased the business from owner Caesar Garcia after being a part of C.G’s Gymnastics for 14 years.  It is his goal to carry on Coach Garcia’s legacy by sticking to the fundamental values that made his business a positive influence in children’s lives.  He is also the State Director of Louisiana Men’s Gymnastics.

   James and Christy have been together since 2009 and married in July 2015.

Christy is the voice/face you usually are in contact with in the Office.  She not only handles the office but also a large portion of the day to day organization and running of the gym.
     She is very familiar with the gym and the gymnastics world.  She started gymnastics when she was 1 year old and began Acrobatic Gymnastics (formerly named Sports Acrobatics) a few years later.  By the time she was twelve she was competing on the highest level of Acro, Elite, and had competed at Nationals four times.
     Christy is from the Baton Rouge area and went to Episcopal High School where she was a soccer player, powerlifter, and an officer in NJROTC.  She went on to graduate from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in 2006 with a B.A. in English and Psychology and a minor in Political Science: Legal Studies.  She was one of 33 women in a class of 397 graduates and her class started with 617 “knobs” (freshmen) in 2002.  After college, she went to law school at Ole Miss and graduated in 2009 with a J.D.  She was the first in the country to graduate with a Criminal Law Certificate and a Remote Sensing, Air & Space Law Certificate.
     Christy also is an extensive traveler and has been to over 30 countries and studied abroad twice at Cambridge University in England.  She is also an animal lover and enjoys horseback riding, painting, drawing, and reading.  Christy and Coach James have been together since 2009 and married July 2015.
