Did you hear about the sport from a friend or neighbor and want to find out more?
First, you're in the right spot. We offer programs for boys and girls, both competitively through Junior Olympics and casually through our recreational classes.
If you have a child that is interested in gymnastics regardless of age or school they are attending, have them check out one of our free intro resources located in the right-hand column.
Gymnastics is one of the fastest growing youth sports in the country right now. Don't worry if your kid has never been to the gym before, as most kids here haven't so your child is not at a disadvantage. A lot of kids have only joined the sport in the last year to two, and every year we add more new kids to our programs.
Jumps and leaps are also introduced to the intermediate gymnast, and may include tuck or split jumps and split leaps.
Starting from a tall stance, the cartwheel begins with one foot positioned in front of the other. The gymnast begins by reaching down with both hands and placing them side-by-side next to the front leg.
Tuck your head in close to your chest, push your feet off the ground and roll forward. Make sure the area around you is clear so you don't bump into anything.
